The Gateway to Venice and the Islands of the Lagoon.

Once you reach the Punta Sabbioni Square, about 700 meters from the campsite, after a short walk or by using our shuttle service, you can board the A.C.T.V. motorboats on lines 14 and 15 that will take you to Venice Pietà (= S. Marco) in about 30 minutes with an intermediate stop at the Lido di Venezia. Alternatively, in the opposite direction, take line 12 to Venice Fondamenta Nuove (eastern part of the city) along the scenic route through the islands of Burano, Torcello, and Murano.

From Punta Sabbioni, in just under half an hour (line 14), you can reach the island of Lido di Venezia, a long strip of fine sand that protects Venice from the sea. Its large beaches, mostly frequented in past years by aristocratic clientele, enchanted writers such as Byron, Shelley, and Mann, making it a renowned seaside resort. Additionally, since 1932, every September, Lido hosts the famous Venice Film Festival, an event that has contributed to its fame.

Leaving Lido, with a last glance at the "minor" islands of San Lazzaro degli Armeni, San Servolo, and San Giorgio Maggiore, you will arrive in Venice in a few minutes. Enter through the city's "main gate", marked by two columns.

The view of St. Mark's Square, unique and wonderful at any time of the day, with every change of light, is thrilling. Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basilica, the Campanile, and the Clock Tower will leave you in awe... (continue the journey to Venice)

Also from Punta Sabbioni, but in the other direction, you can head towards Burano, Torcello, and Murano. The excursion to the islands of the Lagoon has a special charm due to the enchanting characteristics of the landscape that can be admired during the motorboat navigation. You pass through the area of the Venetian Lagoon called "Laguna Nord," characterized by the presence of sandbanks and islets separated by canals and shallows. Flora and fauna reign supreme in these places, where tranquility is disturbed only by small typical lagoon boats (sandoli, mascarete, and the more modern cacciapesca), the only ones capable of navigating the shallow depths of the shallows... (continue the excursion to the islands of Burano, Torcello, and Murano)
